Amy Spalding

Hi, I’m Amy! A few months ago, my ex-girlfriend and I were in Vietnam when I came up with the idea for the Dyke Ring. I had been designing and making silver jewellery as a hobby for a few years, and it felt like the perfect piece to create for my little sister, who’s also queer. What started as a small project quickly gained traction when I shared the process on TikTok, and to my surprise, it went viral—reaching nearly 1.5 million views! The response was incredible, with so many people reaching out to get their hands on the ring, and it made me realise that this could be the moment to turn my passion for jewellery into a full-time business.

The word ‘dyke’ has a complicated history—it was once used as a slur, but it’s been reclaimed by many in the LGBTQ+ community as a term of pride and empowerment. I want to make pieces that reflect that spirit, helping people express themselves authentically and proudly.

I plan to expand my line to include a variety of ‘Loud and Proud’ rings, so everyone in the community can find a piece that speaks to them.

Thank you so much for being a part of this journey with me—I’m grateful for all the support and excited for what’s ahead!

Hi, I'm Rupert, Amy's right hand arm man and partner in crime. Ever since we met at Brighton Pride over 3 years ago, we have been pretty much joined at the hip.

When Amy first began making her viral rings, we would sit in her living room packing orders and yapping, and quickly realised we made a pretty good pair. Now, three shoots, two campaigns and a whole collection later, we are ready to take over the world of queer jewellery, and we are so excited to show you what we have coming up this year.
